Who We Are

Several years ago, David Rubin was serving his community as mayor. His community: The reestablished village of Shiloh, the first capital of ancient Israel, the place where the Tabernacle stood for 369 years, where Hannah prayed for a son, and the son who was born was Samuel the Prophet. Shiloh was the center for the Jewish nation, the place where Joshua divided the Land of Israel amongst the tribes.

In our times as well, Shiloh is in the forefront of the struggle for the Land of Israel. Bonds of friendship are being formed between residents of the communities of Shiloh and caring people from around the world in support of the children, who are the innocent victims in this struggle.

These past few years have seen a horrifying rise in the number of terror attacks on Israeli civilians throughout the Land and especially in the Biblical heartland of Judea, Samaria, and Jerusalem. Barbaric attacks by Muslim extremists led by the Palestinian Authority have killed or wounded thousands, leaving scores of children orphaned and families torn apart.

On December 17, 2001, David Rubin and his then three-year-old son Ruby were wounded in a vicious shooting attack while driving home from Jerusalem in their car. They miraculously survived the attack, and after two years of operations, post-trauma therapy, and doctors' visits, David began delivering his heart-rending testimony to people around the world, and spreading the truth about what's really happening in the Land of Israel.

As a response to the terror attack on him and his young son, David decided to establish the Shiloh Israel Children's Fund. Its purpose is to reach out to the world with an authentic Jewish voice, in defense of the children in the historic heartland of Israel. David is welcoming assistance from all friends of Israel in support of projects for the children, particularly in the communities that have been most traumatized by terror attacks.
